Weekly NFL Related Humiliation (Week NINE)

Surprisingly crappy match ups this week. There are only three contests where both teams are above .500. I'll post my guesses on those contests, plus I'll throw in the Cowboys v. the Redskins, cause the records don't matter in a rivalry game like this one.

Lines from the current (as of this post) line at Leroys as reported by Vegasinsider.com.

To the picks!

Dallas at Washington (+3)
Dallas (4-3) has been hot and cold, but were hot last week and Tony Romo seems to have the confidence of his team. Washington (2-5) are a mess, having lost 3 in a row. But, Washington have talent, and they'll be prepared to battle their division foe. I won't claim it's rational, but I think Washington will avenge their earlier loss to Dallas, and put together a good game on both sides of the ball. Washington +3

Kansas City at St. Louis (-2.5)
St. Louis (4-3) is hosting their intrastate rival Kansas City (4-3). They both come in with identical records, and both have had an up and down season. The Chiefs started 0-2, but have won 4-5 since. St. Louis on the other hand, have dropped their last two games, and looked especially bad last week when the Chargers beat them up. The Rams will lose three in a row for the same reason they lost last week, they can't stop the run. Having trouble against the run while facing Larry Johnson will be big trouble. KC will control the ball, forcing the Rams to make the most of each possession. I'm picking the Chiefs, but if Bulger plays his helmet off like he's done more than once this season, then I'll be very wrong. Kansas City +2.5

Cincinatti at Baltimore (-3)
Cincinatti (4-3) are going to have a hard time against the fearsome Baltimore (5-2) defense. The Bengals haven't been as efficient on offense as they need to be to defeat a defense like the Ravens'. McNair showed that he's fine last week, and should give their defense all the points they need to stay aggressive. You almost have to feel sorry for Carson Palmer in this game, it's going to be a long day. Baltimore -3

Indianapolis at New England (-3)
Indianapolis (7-0) are undefeated, but have been unimpressive from time to time. New England (6-1) have only lost once, and are looking like they are once again a serious contender for hoisting a Lombardi trophy when this season is all done. Both these teams are hard to bet against, but when in doubt, in Belichick we trust. Either way, should be an exciting Sunday night contest. New England -3
