You Ain't Wrong (Week Ending 2 April 2006)

I'll get around to it, Sunday's have been busy for me for some reason (Sopranos partly, plus NEW ROBOT CHICKEN!!)

You'll get your weekly dose of Aintwrongness by 5pm tomorrow, promise.

(amuse yourselves with this placeholder till then)

UPDATE:

Here goes the real post, again, I'll leave the placeholder where it is.

CBS' Public Eye, Y'All Ain't Wrong, for linking to my piece. I find it interesting that the traffic from your mention of my take on Michael Ware generated not even a tenth of the traffic generated by Mr. Hewitt's link (without comment). You seem to hold me up as an example of an especially wingnuttish commenter on the issue, and for that I'm grateful. You've already proved in the past that you hold Mr. Hewitt in contempt, so by saying he's not as bad as I am, I take that as a compliment rather than an insult. And you still haven't addressed the point of whether or not what Michael Ware admits to doing was moral or not. I will state again without any equivocation or nuance that what he has done is morally repugnant and unjustified.

Anna Politkovskaya, You Ain't Wrong, for your stirring op-ed attacking the methods of President Putin in Russia's own terror fight. If people want to see what a real attack on civil liberties looks like they ought to read her piece. They have a real problem with Muslim extremist and terrorism in Russia, but reverting to anti-democtratic statist habits won't solve their problems, those tactics will only exacerbate the crisis they face. Pres. Putin must avoid the temptation to strong arm his press and his people into submitting to his diktats and accept that democracy can be messy.

Victoria, You Ain't Wrong, for expressing your admiration for the past Pope (and you most definitely aren't alone) along with looking favorably upon the current pontiff (which in that you may be a little more isolated). I'm not Catholic, nor even Christian, but all should be able to appreciate what Pope John Paul II achieved in his years on this planet and the integral role he played in facing a terrible evil that ate away at the heart of Europe. Folks like him will be called upon to stand up against the current evil infecting Europe and the world (and so as to be clear I'm speaking of Islamofascism, and so as to be really clear, Islam isn't the evil we face, but fascist who twist Islam in their sick heads into a hateful creed are)

(that's a partial list of weekly Aintwrongness, I'll complete it after the game tonight)

UPDATE, TOO (and here's the rest)

Stephen Green, You Ain't Wrong, for bringing logic into the whole Bush=Hitler "debate".

Ilya Somin (guest blogging at Volokh), You Ain't Wrong, for suggesting that there is such a thing as 'voting with your feet' and that people effected by Katrina are doing just that by staying away in droves from New Orleans.

Tammy Bruce, You Ain't Wrong, for positing the 'hairbrained theory' as an explanation for Rep. McKinney's less explicable than usual actions this past week.

Michelle Malkin, You Ain't Wrong, for letting Allahpundit post at your site during some time off. (some examples of Allahpundit work, here, here, and here)

Callimachus, You Ain't Wrong, for inviting Reader I Am into your cozy bloghome and allowing her to set up shop, too. (here's her first, and second posts at Done With Mirrors, enjoy)

Finally, A preemptory you Ain't Wrong, to the first high traffic blogger who invites me into their fine blog home and let's ME guestblog in their place. I promise not to mark up the floors, or leave too many stains on the furniture.

That's enough with the aintwrongness, there's more out there, but I'll trust y'all to find it for yourself. Now on to the new semi-tradition of naming this week's one or two examples of antiaintwrongness (say that n number of times fast, (where n is any non negative integer, greater than 2).

For obvious reasons, McKinneyness makes a perfect word to describe the state of being in antiaintwrongness.

Alternately I think Don Imus producer, Bernard McGuirk (read this Sullivan link), easily qualifies as being antithetical to aintwrongness, so if McKinneyness sounds strange to your ears try the equally uneuphonious McGuirkness on for size.

UPDATE, CHAMPIONSHIP GAME EDITION:

Congratulations Florida Gators for destroying the UCLA Bruins in the championship.

And congratulations Bruins for having a great season, playing way above expectations (especially down the stretch), next year's team looks to be a serious contender for another Final Four appearance.
