You Ain't Wrong (Week Ending 19 March 2006)

The last Ain't Wrong of the Winter. Of course aintwrongness knows no season, occaisonally knows no reason, and definitely knows no treason.

Bradley Basketballers, You Ain't Wrong, for being the lowest seeded team in the Sweet 16, congratulations on ruining the brackets for anyone who actually knows something about college basketball. Once again the winner of the office pool across the nation will be the likes of Lois who picked the teams based on what their mascots are, and where her cousins went to college. It wouldn't be March without upsets.

Gateway Pundit (via insty), You Ain't Wrong, for applying a dose of perspective to the ongoing project that is the Iraqi front on the overall Global War on Terror. Mistakes have been made, but being in Iraq isn't one of them.

RIA, You Ain't Wrong (no link love, blog's on hiatus), for sending me an email pointing me to this post at Vodkapundit and this commentary on the post at Done With Mirrors. Prince post 'slave' period can be summed up as Stephen Green has, and Vernon Dent's musings on how the blogosphere brings the funny is on target as well, An Army of David Brenners Indeed, Heh. Also Prince has a new album in stores Tuesday, buy it or else!! (I'm part of the New Power Generation, why aren't you?)

The Sane and Sober Folks of the Great and Good United States of America, Y'all Ain't Wrong, for staying away from these lefty, dirty effin hippy, moonbattery 'protests' in droves this weekend.

A premature but hopeful, You Ain't Wrong, goes out to the baseball players of team Japan competing in the World Baseball Championships. Beat Cuba's sorry Communists asses on Monday. It's your duty. (and really, if they had lost to Korea for a third time, they probably shouldn't have bothered getting on the plane back to Japan)

Victoria at Sundries, You Ain't Wrong, for wondering and expecting a few of Cuba's players to slip away from their minders and stay in San Diego to escape from Fidel's disgusting repressive regime. If none do, it will because their families are held hostage by that pig and relic from another era.

Prof. Dauber, You Ain't Wrong, for calling the media on their hype, then disappointment at Operation Swarmer not meeting their own hype. It's beyond comedy, beyond parody, many members of the media occupy a completely different reality. (which is why they, and those that agree with them have to repeat the 'reality based' mantra, they clearly aren't so sure)

Bill at So Quoted, You Ain't Wrong, for pointing to James Lileks' brilliant photo essay and commentary on old school computer promotional photos.

Prof. Althouse, You Ain't Wrong, about refuting the slippery slope argument made by Charles Krauthammer with regards to gay marriage and polygamy. This post spawned a surprisingly active comment section (200+) and a response from another big time blogging Law Prof. I think the state has no business sanctioning or manipulating the tax code to encourage any marriages, straight, gay, or plural, but that's just me.

That's enough aintwrongness for the week. Much more aintwrong is going on, but sometimes I just have to trust y'all to find it for yourself. As always, endeavor to be part of the aintwrong rather than its opposite (and this week, the opposite of aintwrongness is a tie between Viacomness and Huffingtonness)
