Alien Invades the U.S.

Remember way back when, when I was giddy (warning, spoiler at link) with anticipation that the new Dr. Who series was coming to DVD in the U.S..

Well it's been pushed back indefinitely.

Sci-Fi channel has picked up Dr. Who for broadcast and are showing all the episodes from the first series of the new Who (beginning March 17).

I recommend watching them, hopefully enough people will tune in that they'll decide to show the upcoming second series (warning, spoilers about first series events abound at link) that begins shortly in the U.K.. Also there's a spinoff series called Torchwood that will air this summer in Albion that sounds pretty good, too.

It's a fun show, both cheesy and intelligent, aimed at a family audience in the U.K., though probably won't be sold as a family show here in the U.S. (some of the themes might be a bit objectionable for what many Americans consider a family audience).

Watch it, enjoy it, tingle with anticipation as you wait for more.
