That's the Problem With Language

Language is a slippery thing. Through outlets like Reuters and AP's refusal to call the terrorists terrorists, they latched on to a more 'acceptable' and romantic phrase to describe their attempts at thwarting Iraqi democracy and kill American soldiers. The term of art applied to the terroristic activities of terrorists was to call their actions "insurgency" and the actors "insurgents".

Makes it a bit troubling then, when an ex-President uses the word "insurgents" to describe folks who support his wife's bid for the presidency, doesn't it?
