They Have Problems, I Have the Solution

Mice on a Plane? (hat tip Drudge)

No problem, let me think . . .

Which animal's rather good at catching and devouring mice?

Yes, but they can't fit in all the tiny tight places mice can?

I suppose, but I don't think they'd be very effective on a plane.

Wait, I got it, yesssssssssssss, yesssssssssssssss, of courssssssssssssssse, it'sssssssssssss, obvioussssssssssssssss.

If you've got Mice on a Plane, the only possible solution would be to hire someone to put some mother[bleep]ing snakes on that mother[bleep]ing plane!!!!

(just make sure they are small garter snake mice catchers and not large venomous cobras and mambas)

(and when are they going to remake SSSSSSSS? That's one remake I'd like to see (and it wouldn't be hard to improve on the original, both in terms of story and effects))

Universal recently launched a Hi-Def channel so that they could unload old programs on those of us in the hi-def market. SSSSSSSSS was one of the programs they showed in the first month. All I can say is that it's much, much worse than one would imagine looking at its IMDb listing. Yes, it's really that bad.

OMG. SSSSSSSSS is one of the 915 titles banned in Finland! Those crazy Finns!

Which is precisely why it could be a worthwhile remake.

Remaking a good film usually fails cause they don't do justice to the original.

Remaking a bad film, but that had a good concept, that has much greater potential for inventiveness and improvement.

And yes, Finns are crazy.

Of course the whole purpose of Hollywood remakes is to cash in on the good feeling and name recognition of an old title, so from a business standpoint remaking a bad old film that doesn't even qualify for cult status would be a poor decision.

But artistically, fixing something that was broken, yet had a kernel of goodness within, seems desirable.

And yes, Finns are crazy.

I dunno, X. I think the kernel of goodness from SSSSSSSSS was already lifted and done well enough in Conan the Barbarian.
