Cointelpro?

What better way to discredit and demonize the pro-illegal immigrant protesters?

Why get them labeled a bunch of pinko scum, that's how!

So the really big demonstration, the ones that will create a 'Day Without an Immigrant' and in the hopes of the organizers cripple businesses from coast to coast that day is scheduled soon.

And what day might that be?

MAY DAY, of course!!

What a clueless bunch of moonbats, it's a truly wonderful plan.

Clearly Karl Rove was behind picking that day, of all days, for the collective action against capitalism.

Do you think the LATimes will make the connection between the Communist and Socialist celebrations of May Day and the planned for mass demonstrations in Los Angeles and elsewhere?

I suspect that the signs and shouts will make the connection to socialism clear, but somehow will be indistinct or absent from all the photo coverage included in most media outlets (those 'evil' FNC folks (and possibly Lou Dobbs at CNN) excepted).

(and the organizers, ANSWER L.A., are bona fide actual commie pinko scum of the Maoist school)

(here's a link to the PDF of the poster you should print and post all over your city, conveniently in English and Spanish, and here's a link to the petition you are expected to circulate (commie propaganda in red, my interjections in black), here's the text for those to lazy to click on the link, "I demand full rights and equality for all immigrants living in the United States" since "Neoliberal economic policies, like NAFTA and CAFTA, pushed millions of people into abject poverty" therefore "Immigrants are forced to the U.S. to look for work" and obviously "Nobody should be criminalized for attempting to survive" and it goes without saying that "No human being is illegal" and for the clincher in this brilliant petition, don't forget that "Racism against immigrants emanates from the same forces behind the U.S. war to conquer and control the wealth of Iraq" and don't you forget it)

and just in case they change the text of the message between now and May 1st, here it is in its entirety (I'm sure they won't mind me 'borrowing' this, afterall it's the people's property, there shouldn't be any such thing as individual property rights (intellectual or physical, at least in their worldview))

Join immigrants and supporters to make Monday, May 1, 2006 a national “day without an immigrant.” Anti-immigrant politicians and hatemongers call immigrants “a drain on society” - they try to pass repressive legislation like HR 4437 and encourage groups like the racist “Minutemen.” But immigrants contribute billions to the economy and receive few benefits in return. We will settle for nothing less than full amnesty and dignity for the millions of undocumented workers presently in the United States. Let’s show the government, corporations and racist politicians that a powerful, united peoples’ movement has the power to win Civil Rights, workers’ rights and make history.

We remember the 1955-56 Montgomery, Alabama boycott of the heroic African American people in that city. It was the people, the domestic and hotel maids, gardeners, cooks, seamstresses and the whole community, who said, “enough is enough.” They demanded nothing less than full equality. Through their persistence they were victorious and made history. Today, this new Civil and workers’ rights movement demands amnesty, legalization and full equality. The "Great American Boycott" on May 1 will bring us closer to our goal. No business as usual on May 1. Take to the streets to support the boycott!

The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition and many other pro-immigrant organizations are working hard to build May 1. We have flyers, posters and thousands of stickers to promote the nationwide boycott. Help us spread the word. Get involved today!
