You Ain't Wrong (Week Ending 05 March 2006)

Another week, more Aintwrongness (sans pictures, last week was just a tease, I'm feeling lazy this week, instead of distracting y'all with images I'll dazzle you with well considered links and dazzling prose).

Defamer, Y'all Ain't Wrong, Great live blogging of the Oscars, many others have done so, but with comments like this (regarding Crash's Best Picture), I can't quit you (see I can make a brokeback joke too)
8:23pm: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
God help us all. The sky has opened, Beezlebub has dumped his infernal payload of obvious evil on an unsuspecting Earth. Life as we know it is over. Drive to the desert and start a new civilization, hoping that our horrible, horrible mistakes will not be repeated. This is the end, friends. See you in Hell. {edited some Os from Noooo... for formatting reasons}

Brilliant, Bloody, Brilliant (funny I felt the same way when Forrest Gump won Best Picture)

Now the Prof. Glenn Reynolds edition of Ain't Wrong (he's been all sorts of Ain't Wrong this week)

Prof. Reynolds, You Ain't Wrong, for compiling all the posts that point out the evidence that the civil war hysteria in the wake of the Golden Dome bombing was just that, pointedly political anti-administration hysteria. The truth is out there, and the links you provide help reveal that truth.

Prof. Reynolds, You Ain't Wrong, for this round-up of the blogposts about the recent newly found Katrina related footage. The media has performed poorly, AP more so than most, attention must be paid, and the truth will out in the end.

Prof. Reynolds, You Ain't Wrong, in pointing to the parallels between the Democratic Party's out of touchness Kos and Armstrong write about in their book and recent trends in behavior by the Republican Party leadership. Over time both in success and defeat Parties can develop the dangerous habit of assuming they should lead their people rather than being an instrument to allowing the people to lead. (forgetting that difference is deadly politically)

Prof. Reynolds, You Ain't Wrong, for keeping the spotlight on support for Denmark. Free speech must be seen as a human right, it's essential in maintaining accountability and peace across nations and across ideologies and faiths. Any one who doesn't think their viewpoint can withstand ridicule or criticism is already lost and deserves what they get.

All the above are what Prof. Reynold's does best, he doesn't offer a great deal of personal commentary, but he plays a great traffic cop of information and many blogs that don't get the attention they deserve on a regular basis get a torrent of attention when they get a heh, or indeed, from the Instapundit himself an Instalanche follows and servers tremble.

And lest I forget Prof. Reynolds, You Ain't Wrong, for linking to this Immodest little blog. Now I just have to work on you actually identifying me by my handle (XWL) or this blog by name (Immodest Proposals) and we'll be set. (and surely there's room in your blogroll for fresh blood)

One final Instapundit related Aintwrong (hat tip), Virginia Postrel, You Ain't Wrong, for sharing your healthy kidney with someone, it's a very giving act that you downplay in your post, but you deserve a round of applause.
