I'll see the film anyway

The audience applauded, the lights came up, and John Podesta, distinguished head of a liberal Washington think tank, stood before the crowd to praise the film they had all just seen -- "a wonderful movie," he said, that will "teach us something about ourselves."

Long puff piece on Albert Brooks new film, looks like a good film, and most of his films have been amusing, if not brilliant.

Despite the opening paragraph of the article, the Washington Post reporter makes sure that everyone knows that the film isn't partisan.

So why start of with that vignette for your lengthy article?
